Matthew McConville is COO and CCO at Coppertree. Matt is the consultant to Coppertree’s clients’ enterprises. His strength is improving profitability and efficiency in closely held businesses. Matt is primarily responsible for the execution of Coppertree’s strategic plan.
Prior to joining the Coppertree family, Matt was a Division Manager for Mittal Steel USA, Indiana Harbor where he led the manufacturing operations for the East Finishing Division. Prior to joining Mittal, Matt held numerous manufacturing leadership positions at AK Steel Corporation.
Matt holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio Northern University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame Mendoza School of Business (cum laude). Matt is Six Sigma Black Belt trained and has a certification in lean manufacturing from the University of Michigan.
Matt and his wife Su reside in Cincinnati. They have one daughter.
Jenny Luken serves as a Family Liaison at Coppertree, where she also manages
the daily operations of the organization’s headquarters. With a diverse background in psychology, counseling and non-profit administration, Jenny brings a distinctive combination of skills to her work with clients and staff.
As Family Liaison, Jenny is an incomparable resource for Coppertree’s clients. She helps in developing family governance systems and assists in family meetings. Integral to her role is helping families explore their own values and goals, determining how they wish to make decisions together. In addition, she coordinates personal and business-related services for clients.
Prior to joining Coppertree, Jenny managed her family’s real estate holdings, and oversaw properties and related financial issues. At Miami University she was an administrator at a regional campus. Jenny was also Director of Volunteers at the Cincinnati Children’s Museum, and served on its founding Board of Directors.
Jenny earned her B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in Clinical Studies at Tulane University. She also holds a M.S. in Personnel Services and Counseling from Miami University (cum laude).
Jenny and her husband John live in Cincinnati. They have three daughters.

Mark Casella, CEO and Founder of Coppertree, is a leader in providing Family Office Services to wealthy families, helping them with the management of their personal and business affairs. As a second generation co-owner of a privately held family business, Mark is uniquely positioned to aid wealthy families in addressing the particular challenges of legacy wealth management and planning. Mark helps families understand and employ all forms of their wealth, including their human, social, intellectual, and financial capital, all in pursuit of their goals for the present and future.
Mark is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) with over 24 years of experience at an international wealth management firm and two U.S. investment firms. Prior to forming Coppertree, Mark was a Senior Vice President and Investment Advisor at UBS AG where he specialized in private wealth management.
Mark has been active in the community, having served as Chairman of the Board and President of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. He also served on the Mercy Health Partners Foundation Board as Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. Most recently he was elected to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center Board of Directors.
Mark holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame Mendoza School of Business (cum laude).
Mark and his wife Mary live in Cincinnati. They have four daughters.
Katie Kinsey is the President of Coppertree, Ltd. She has over 30 years experience serving families of great wealth, with 15 years in senior leadership positions. Prior to joining Coppertree, Katie consulted for the private office and family‐owned businesses of a prominent international family, for whom she crafted a 100‐year governance and wealth‐preservation plan, integrated the private trust company and multi‐jurisdictional trusts, advised on management changes, and developed customized education programs as part of strategic succession plans.
Katie has been the Global Head of Client Educational Activities at JPMorgan Private Bank where she expanded and deepened the Next Generation Program and developed a new women’s initiative. She was the Chief Operating Officer of Circle Financial Group, LLC, a start‐up wealth management business. Her responsibilities included establishing the office and operating systems, serving on the Executive Committee, the Partners’ working committees, and acting as CFO. In addition, she has worked in executive and management positions for financial institutions such as GEM Capital Management, Inc., Upland Holdings, Inc., L.F. Rothschild & Co., Citibank, Wells Fargo and Bank of America.
Katie earned a B.A. in History from the University of California at Los Angeles. She is a member of The Rockefeller University Council, and is an Advisory Board Member to the Family Center for Bipolar Disorder, Beth Israel Medical Center. She has served as a Trustee of St. Andrew’s School (Del.).
Katie and her husband Clint live in New York City. She has two sons.
